NYSC, Veritable Tool To Enhance Unity – PMB
President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is still a veritable tool of enhancing unity and peace among Nigerians.
Buhari made the remarks yesterday in his native home Daura, Katsina State, while addressing some NYSC members serving in Daura local government area.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the corps members were at the president’s residence to pay a Sallah homage to him.
He said that the scheme is an opportunity for them to understand the culture of their host communities by interacting with them.
The president urged the corps members to put more efforts towards discharging their primary responsibilities.
He assured them that the federal government would do everything possible to enhance the scheme and boost the corps members’ morale to ensure effective service delivery.
The president commended the corps members for contributing their quota to nation building.
