We will support Buhari’s bid to recover stolen funds – Senator Ibrahim

Senator Abu Ibrahim representing Katsina South under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured that President Muhammadu Buhari will be given all the support needed to stamp out corruption and consequently recover monies stolen by a few government individuals in the past.

He equally called on the Senate leadership immediately resolve the lingering conflict in the house so that lawmakers can quickly settle down for the business of lawmaking which, they were elected to perform on behalf of the people.

He also cautioned that expectations are high, hence the need for federal lawmakers to perform by putting the interest of the nation first through passage of legislations that would improve the lives of the ordinary Nigerians who are looking up to them.

Speaking with newsmen, the federal lawmaker said the war against corruption, led by President Buhari is one that must be supported by everyone, if the country wants to make any progress. “I have been very close to President Muhammadu Buhari for a long time and every time we meet, he has maintained that the very essence of his coming into politics is to bring sanity into governance and truly, since he came into politics, his main agenda is anti-corruption, because he believes that if corruption is not tackled, those in government will not be accountable to Nigerians. President Buhari believes strongly that if that is not done Nigeria will never move forward.”

He expressed confidence that the APC-led government under President Buhari will do everything within the law to recover looted funds and commended the President for his courage and patriotism.
