The Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, on Tuesday, declared that intimidation and other moves would not distract the eight National Assembly, especially his office, from performing its statutory legislative duties.
Reacting to alleged moves by some politicians he described as desperate elements to push him out of office, the deputy Senate President, through his Special Adviser on media, Uche Anichukwu, claimed that some clandestine efforts by desperate political elements were being made to publish false and defamatory information against his Office.
Anichukwu said the Deputy President of the Senate appreciates the principled stance of most media houses not to be used in this business of blackmail, falsehood, and cheap propaganda.
