Ghana President Off To Germany For African Economic Forum

A statement received from the Flagstaff House (Ghana’s Presidency) said the Ghanaian president , who was accompanied by Minister for Finance Seth Terkper and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hanna Tetteh, had arrived in the German city famous for its wall (Berlin Wall) that divided post-World War II-Germany into two, for the conference on Wednesday.

As the Guest of Honor, the Ghanaian president will direct the world’s attention to how the post-2015 agenda can transform Africa’s relationship with the industrialized world,” the statement explained.
The Forum, premised on the Agenda 2063 adopted by the African Union, will provide African countries and the rest of the world an opportunity to chart a more inclusive and sustainable growth agenda.
Also attending the conference are the Vice-Chancellor of Germany and Minister for Economic Affairs & Energy, Sigmar Gabriel.
The statement added that President Mahama addressed on his arrival on Tuesday a German-African Business Summit organized by the Sub-Sahara Africa Initiative, which represents the economic and political interests of four supporting organizations and 3.5 million member-companies.
President Mahama and his delegation held a number of business and bilateral discussions on Tuesday. Enditem.
